In my family and wider family, there are people with autism. To my knowledge, none of them claim universal credit. There are people out there claiming fraudulently and I agree that they should be asked to work. How does the government find resources to put these people on the right path to getting a job that is suitable to them? When my son was looking for work, he was put on a scheme that cost the government money. He wasn't given a suitable job and couldn't cope. It's a catch-22 situation, especially if you're treated like you're just a number. He receives PIP and if he doesn't get it anymore or universal credit then what happens regarding pensions, if you're no longer in the system?
