Seems so convinient for #Netanyahu that his tool for stopping the #TwoStateSolution , being #Hamas, a group with massive international funding, would be #MisjudgedAndUnderestimated by the #IDF.

I very much doubt that this #CompleteFailure wasn't deliberately orchestrated.

The only surprise to Netanyahu et al was the magnitude of the 07 October 2023 attack I think.

It looks like my dream of a two state solution in the Levant may be at an end. :(

If this annexation gives full rights to the people of the West Bank, just like the Arabs who are Israeli citizens in Israel, I could be okay with it[1], but based on the politicians involved, I'm fearful this isn't going to be the case. Thus, I'm against it.

[1] I don't like the idea of annexation, I think it's morally wrong, but if it really gave the Palestinians full rights as Arab Israelis have, it would be good for women and Queer West Bank Palestinian, who currently have to live in the closet.

#Palestine / Norway calls for two-state solution with 'Integrated Palestine'

#Norway's Foreign Minister, Espen Barth Eide, advocated for a two-state solution with an "integrated Palestine" encompassing the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and parts of Jerusalem, during the Doha Forum. He emphasized the need for both immediate and long-term solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, stating that the current situation is untenable.

Eide also highlighted the ongoing humanitarian crisis in #Gaza, including the massive death toll and displacement of Palestinians resulting from the Israeli offensive, which has been condemned internationally as a genocide.

He further noted the importance of a future deal involving Palestine in light of the Abraham Accords.

Norway, along with Ireland and Spain, recently established full diplomatic relations with Palestine.

Our opinions on the partition evidently differ @kashifshah . East Pakistan seems to have not worked out well.

Hypothetical and realistic are not synonymous. None of the borders proposed for two states in Palestine has ever been workable. The area is too small and the proposed states too fragmented. A fragmented Pakistan didn't work and the area involved was much larger.

Israel was imposed by invasion, violence and decree, relatively recently. There are living Palestinians, still holding keys to the houses taken from their grandparents to create Israel. History shows that there will be no lasting peace while the Zionist state exists.
