elbowcrooker<p>Two local ash trees. <br>The one in the woods has had its crown and branches removed, probably because ash die-back disease was making the tree liable to drop its branches onto passers-by. Bracket fungus, an indication of rotten heartwood, can be seen.<br>The one on the golf course appears to have been felled long ago leaving a low stump - and then allowed to re-grow.
