Microsoft Total Recall dürfte mit EU-Recht zur Datenspeicherung im Konflikt stehen, denn wer What's App oder Signal Messaging mit Verschlüsselung und Autodelete für's Messaging mit anderen hat kaum sein Einverständnis zur Datensicherung auf dem Rechner des Kommunikationspartners zugestimmt. Die Funktionalität der Apps mit Autodelete signalisiert recht klar, dass eine Datensicherung unerwünscht ist.
