@ai6yr @briankrebs OFC this targets #TechIlliterates and the only effective means here are:
- Teach #TechLiteracy instead of consumerism.
- Mandate #confirmation & #notification - #PopUp|s for every use of #Clipboard (similar to #webcam use by websites)...
- Ban #JavaScript - seriously!
- Ban #Windows, because it's a #Govware, espechally since #Windows10 and even more so on #Windows11 that is *insecure in every configuration!
- Put #TechIlliterates before a system they can't feck up. I.e. @tails_live @tails / #Tails for that reason alone (can't run such commands if they neither got #root nor any #persistent #storage to target).
- Normalize the use of @torproject #TorBrowser!
- #Teach #tech #literacy instead of #consumerism!
- Ban #GAFAMs and their shitty products!
- Migrate every #TechIlliterate to #Linux and don't give them administrative privilegues.

I totally agree with tante that #gamification is manipulative, paternalistic shit
And yes, learning can be made easier and can be a lot of fun
But gamification is not good teaching, it is manipulation
Including fun into learning can be reached by good teaching
You can simply #teach children of all #abilities how to learn & how to love it

Maybe I just refuse to socialize with people who put convenience over safety...
Or maybe it's because I taught people how to use these things and set them up to the point that it just works!
Or maybe you just hangout with #TechIlliterates more than I ever did...
Whatever of these may be the case (can be more than 1 BTW), that just means there's more need than ever to #teach #TechLiteracy harder!

2. Are they doing something you don't recognise, or maybe you do recognise but never got the hang of it? Get them to #teach you as much of it as they can. Work together on it. Admit that you don't understand it YET but don't use this as an excuse to not engage. Learning new things is a positive thing. Not understanding something is a prerequisite for learning something new.
