SpaceLifeForm<p>Matt Parker learns some sudoku solving techniques for a problem he was not convinced was human solvable. He wrote a python program to brute force the solution. Marcus Jaschen<p>Passend dazu: heute vor einem Jahr habe ich mein erstes 4-Sterne-Sudoku nach dem Bewertungsmaßstab bei Logic Masters gelöst.</p><p>Das hat mich so sehr gefreut, dass ich mir das extra aufgeschrieben habe. Der Schwierigkeitsmaßstab bei Logic Masters wird von den Leuten nicht-linear angewendet, sodass mir vier oder gar fünf Sterne im Normalfall viel zu schwierig sind. What assurance is there that there are no sketchy apps in the webxdc app store? Can these apps break out of their little jail, and root my phone? Andrew<p>I heard Cracking the Cryptic had a "Chess Sudoku" game so rather than engage with that in any way, I invented my own Chess Sudoku game. Derek Caelin is writing a book<p>I was "puzzled" (ha!) by the game world.</p><p>In previous puzzle-driven games I have played, the game world provided a narrative and a context for the puzzle. Myst Island, <a href="https://social.coop/tags/OuterWilds" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OuterWilds</span></a>. Even Braid! Solving the puzzle allows the player to interact with the that world, and the narrative within it. </p><p>On the opposite end of the spectrum is a <a href="https://social.coop/tags/Sudoku" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Sudoku</span></a> puzzle book. Puzzles don't exist in a narrative context. Solving the puzzle simply means you've solved the puzzle and can progress to the next.</p>
