bananamangodog<p>If you're considering <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Plex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Plex</span></a> as a <a href="https://aus.social/tags/MediaServer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MediaServer</span></a> I would advise you to avoid it like the plague, particularly if you're considering spending money on a subscription.</p><p>The recent "upgrade" was anything but an <a href="https://aus.social/tags/upgrade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>upgrade</span></a>, breaking numerous functions, seeing regression bugs, changes in functionality and compatibility for devices that were not previously announced, and seemingly no plan to resolve these issues once they presented themselves. With a huge influx of support issues on the forum and a significant amount of people reporting <a href="https://aus.social/tags/CompleteFailure" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CompleteFailure</span></a> their response was not ownership or even acknowledgement and a pause of the rollout and/or roll-back to a working version was not even entertained. The only solution for many was to roll back to a previous version (if you could find the binaries) but then back end changes meant that subsequently <a href="https://aus.social/tags/failed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>failed</span></a> also leaving many with non-functional servers.</p><p>Support pages on their internet page are being edited or removed post-rollout to remove information about compatible hardware that no longer works after the update.</p><p>I would rank this rollout as one of the worst I have ever experienced and has cemented the fact that they do not care about <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Support" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Support</span></a> or good <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Software" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Software</span></a> distribution practices but instead will take your money and leave you with a completely unusable product and barely any support.</p><p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/ShitShow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ShitShow</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Software" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Software</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Rollout" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Rollout</span></a></p>
