Suspect in #Minnesota Shooting Linked to Security Company, #Evangelical Ministry

The alleged shooter is a 57-year-old white male; according to his ministry's website, he “sought out militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn't the answer.”

June 14, 2025

"A man named #VanceBoelter allegedly shot and killed #MelissaHortman, a Democratic Minnesota state representative, and her husband Mark Hortman at their home at some point early Saturday morning while, according to law enforcement, impersonating a police officer. He also allegedly shot state senator #JohnHoffman and his wife Yvette Hoffman at their home. They are alive, but remain in critical condition.

"Law enforcement has said they found a manifesto and hit list in the alleged suspect’s car, which included politicians, #abortion providers, and pro-abortion rights advocates. There were also allegedly fliers in his car for the “#NoKings” protest against President Donald #Trump which took place in cities across the US on Saturday.

"The 57-year-old, who has been identified as the suspected shooter according to numerous reports, runs an armed security service with his wife, and has been affiliated with at least one evangelical organization, a ministry he has also run with his wife, according to a tax filing reviewed by WIRED. (His wife could not be immediately reached for comment.) According to public records and archived websites reviewed by WIRED, the suspect served for a time as the president of #RevoformationMinistries. A version of the ministry’s website captured in 2011 carries a biography in which he is said to have been ordained in 1993.

"According to an archived website for the ministry reviewed by WIRED, the suspected shooter’s missionary work took him to Gaza and the West Bank during the Second Intifada, where, the website states, he 'sought out militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn't the answer.'

"A later version of the site was designed, according to an archived copy, by Israeli web design firm J-Town. Charlie Kalech, CEO of J-Town, tells WIRED that the alleged suspect was, in his recollection, 'clearly religious and #evangelistic. He had lots of ideas to make the world a better place.' The suspect, whom Kalech said was 'nothing but nice to me,' commissioned J-Town, Kalech recalled, because they’re Jerusalem-based, and he said he wanted to support #Israel.

"A Facebook profile under the suspected shooter’s name was briefly viewed by WIRED before it was taken down. His profile had shown him 'liking' several evangelical missionary organizations, as well as pages honoring #ReinhardBonnke, a German pentecostal evangelist known for missions in several African countries, and Smith Wigglesworth, a British evangelist who was influential in the pentecostal movement. He also “liked” the#AllianceDefendingFreedom, a conservative legal advocacy organization known for its hardline stances against abortion and #LGBTQ rights.

"The suspected shooter also appears to be the director of security patrols at Praetorian Guard Security Services, a security company run servicing the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro areas that he founded with his wife Jenny. The company advertises residential security patrols and uniformed security patrols. 'We only offer armed security. If you are looking for unarmed guards, please work with another service to meet your needs better,' states the 'red lines' section of the company’s website. The website also states that their 'guards' wear the “best personal protective equipment money can buy.' "

Actions have consequences;

“Tesla drivers in France are suing Elon Musk's EV maker for turning their vehicles into what they characterize as "extreme-right" symbols.
As news agency France 24 reports, the owners are demanding that their lease contracts be terminated and reimbursed for the accrued legal costs.
"Because of Elon Musk's actions... Tesla branded vehicles have become strong political symbols and now appear to be veritable extreme-right 'totems,'" said GKA, the law firm representing the owners, in a statement, "to the dismay of those who acquired them with the sole aim of possessing an innovative and ecological vehicle."

FBI Arrests Members of #NeoNazi Cell Whose Plot to Murder #Antifa Couple Was Foiled By a Bad Back

By Mack Lamoureux
January 17, 2020

"Three men in Georgia allegedly associated with the neo-Nazi terror group #TheBase have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

"#LukeAustinLane, #MichealHelterbrand, and #JacobKaderli were arrested on Wednesday over a plot to kill an 'Antifa couple' in Georgia. The arrests of the three young man bring the total of Base members arrested this week to six.

"The affidavit surrounding the arrests paints a dramatic story in which an undercover agent infiltrated the #Georgia cell of the neo-Nazi terror group and learned how the group planned to kill a couple. The affidavit shows Lane, known as #TMB (#TheMilitantBuddhist), as the leader of the group, who would organize meetups on his father’s property in #SilverCreekGeorgia."

#NeoNazi group ‘actively seeking to grow in #US’ with planned #paramilitary training event

#TheBase is emerging from shadows and ramping up its ranks as White House turns blind eye to the far right

Ben Makuch, Sat 7 Jun 2025

"An international neo-Nazi terrorist organization is boldly continuing to build in the US and planning a new paramilitary training event without fear of local authorities or the FBI, which once dismantled it in a nationwide effort.

"The Base, founded in 2018 by a former Pentagon contractor living in #Russia and now suspected of Kremlin-sponsored espionage, once boasted close to 50 stateside members before the bureau made more than a dozen arrests in a years-long counter-terrorism operation.

"But since the presidential election campaign last year and what many then believed to be a surefire victory for Donald Trump, the Base saw an opportunity in a potential administration uninterested in policing #WhiteSupremacy and went about ramping up its ranks.

"Now, the Base has a presence in #Ukraine, performing #sabotage operations inside the country against the embattled government, and new and dangerous cells emerging across Europe, and it appears to be growing in the US, where the FBI under the #Maga acolyte #KashPatel has signalled it isn’t prioritizing investigations of #FarRightExtremism.

"In its early history, part of what first piqued the interest of authorities was the Base’s courting of military veterans who could help drill its foot soldiers in a series of training camps across the US. Eventually implicated in an assassination plot, mass shootings and other actions in Europe, the Base went so far as to have a fortified compound and cell in #Michigan, led by a US army dropout.

"Online evidence from its various accounts, several of which live on #RussianServers to avoid censorship on American sites, shows the Base has real plans for a national gathering this summer where members intend to train in paramilitary drills as in years past.

" 'The Base in [the] USA is preparing for an upcoming national training event,' reads one of its recent posts soliciting crypto donations. 'This one might be our most attended training event in [the] USA in a while. We could really use some financial support to help our members with travel expenses.'

"The post continued: 'When you donate money to the Base, you’re investing in a #WhiteDefenseForce that’s aiming to protect white people from political persecution and physical destruction.'

"The Base then published a new photo of armed members claiming to be in the #midwest, which follows a trend in 2025 of the group bragging about its unafraid American presence. As a sort of taunt to its enemies, on the day of Trump’s inauguration the Base released a photo of four members somewhere in Appalachia, in what was the largest number of American members in one photo in over a year.

" 'The upcoming national training event indicates that the group is seeking to grow and is willing to take the risk of advertising it publicly in advance,' said Joshua Fisher-Birch, an analyst of #FarRightTerrorism who has been following the Base’s movements for close to a decade. 'The Base appears to be actively seeking to grow in the US.'

"Fisher-Birch notes that even if the gathering involves 'fewer than 20 people', it is by no means 'low profile' and suggests the group sees momentum is on its side.

" 'An event entails planning, coordination, travel and face-to-face meetings between different regional groups, indicating that they operate in an environment where they view the potential amount of risk as acceptable,' he said. 'The group has previously stated multiple times that being a member or training with them is a risky endeavor; however, planning a meetup, which they will inevitably use for propaganda purposes, is a different approach than even a year ago, when the group advertised regional activities.'

"In response to queries about the Base’s latest movements, the FBI told the Guardian that it only investigates people who have or are planning to commit a federal crime and pose 'a threat to national security'." [Of course Patel's FBI won't take action against #VeryFinePeople!]

I know Tim Pool is a shithead but some of the clips here are still a bit WTF

"I think it is crazy that I'm about to be 34 and I have no family. You know what the problem is, though, it's definitely not me. I think it's everybody else."

I am sure that is right Tim. I literally cannot think of any single reason that women avoid you. Not one reason at all.

Dear People in Charge who talk glowingly about “family values” & “stay at home moms”

Unfortunately, it seems the “breadwinners" didn't get the memo about them being providers.

They're unkeen on the idea & say it's nothing to do with them.

Looking forward to clarification on this issue.

Signed,
