If you have #Republican representatives, track their reactions to this news. Ask them about it every chance you get. Badger them to condemn the violence and to take concrete steps to de-escalate and prevent it in future. We must not allow this to be normalized. We must not accept any leader who looks away from this.

There will be “zero tolerance” for violence, destruction or disrupting traffic, & “if you violate the law, you’re going to be arrested,” VA Gov #GlennYoungkin told reporters.

In MO, Gov #MikeKehoe issued a similar message, vowing to take a proactive approach & not to “wait for chaos to ensue.”

#Trump publicly complimented #Israel on their success on Friday but did not endorse further #military action, instead reaching out to #Iran to resume talks. Some #Republican hawks expressed consternation that he would not be willing to more directly support Israel’s military campaign.

@ProPublica It doesn’t matter what good a #Democratic government does if a #Republican government can come along later and delete all the progress.

Americans need a long-term commitment to Democratic government. Multiple terms, a generation. Long enough to crush the last vestiges of the Republican hate group, so that societal progress is never reversed again like this.
