Mark<p>It was standing room only at the Toronto stop of Cory Doctorow 's ( <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mamot.fr/@pluralistic" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>pluralistic</span></a></span> ) book tour, for <a href="https://noc.social/tags/PicksAndShovels" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PicksAndShovels</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://noc.social/tags/Toronto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Toronto</span></a> <a href="https://noc.social/tags/RedTeamBlues" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RedTeamBlues</span></a></p>
Orion Ussner kidder<p>So yeah, I'm really digging <a href="https://mas.to/tags/RedTeamBlues" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RedTeamBlues</span></a>, and I will read the other <a href="https://mas.to/tags/MartinHench" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MartinHench</span></a> books right after, unless I get distracted. </p><p>I really wish I knew more hashtags for people who want to talk about books they're reading. Hm.</p>
Orion Ussner kidder<p>I'm finally reading <a href="https://mas.to/tags/RedTeamBlues" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RedTeamBlues</span></a> by Cory Doctorw (who I'm not tagging in bc he doesn't need to see every comment about every one of his dozens of books). It's an extremely readable story. I cannot put it down.</p><p>I've ID'd two things that about Doctorow's style. One,highly specific technical detail. He knows how actual digital threat analysis works,so if a character talks about it,Doctorow rolls out real language for it,and even if I only understand a third of that,it *feels* solid.</p><p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/Bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bookstodon</span></a></p>
