@rzeta0 it’s a pleasure, but just like #PyConIT one person wasn’t significant. The important thing that made #pycon happen, and spread across the world, was communities getting behind the idea and making it happen. If that taught tag the Python community anything it was “the community knows better than anyone else what it wants.” I spent three years chairing and about seven years as a concerned parent, by which time it was obvious I could leave it to others to carry the banner.

Y'all shouldn't allow me to be stimulated by #Python, friends, & amazing talks for 3 days straight. It gets gears moving too much, and then I become an idea faerie, and nobody really likes those too much.
Anyway...
Why don't we see #art contests or galleries at #PyConUS (& other #PyCon conferences)?
There are SO MANY amazing #Artists in the #Python community, and a screen intended for slideshows (or even a poster) does not really give them an effective way to share what they've created.
