This morning when I tried to sign in, I was offered a number of questionable Vivaldi looking Mastodon servers to sign in with (see image below). These aren't the only ones - spcial.vivaldi.net and other typos also appear on the list.</p><p>This problem seems to affect the Elk client only.</p><p>It does NOT affect the Phanpy client, which correctly displays only the actual social.vivaldi.net Mastodon server.</p><p>I haven't tried signing in using any other Mastodon clients except Elk and Phanpy.</p><p>Be cautious when signing in using Elk. daltux:fediverse: <b>Com quais programas</b> interagimos com a <a href="https://jointhefediverse.net/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Federação Social</a>?
Alex Haist<p>Cautiously switching to <a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/phanpy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>phanpy</span></a> web client for Mastodon in the event that it handles unread/read posts more usefully. The catch-up feature is cool, but I would really like posts to be marked read and stop appearing, which I am not sure phanpy does... I may continue using tusky to go over my ever increasing and ignored pile of bookmarked posts...</p>

David B. Himself<p><span>I think we're back to the "where to move this account" question. (and I have yet to find an answer.)<br><br>- First, when Firefish died, I thought the answer was going to be the new </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Iceshrimp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Iceshrimp</a><span>, but it's been more than a year and I'm not sure it's going to be a thing ever. I thought it was going to be the place, but a few things were deal breakers (I forgot which ones, whoops... but they did greatly bother me at the time)<br><br>- Then came </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Wafrn" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Wafrn</a><span>. Despite the unpractical name, I love the idea (it uses both ActivityPub and ATProtocol natively), but the UI is just not for me.<br><br>- I've been waiting for </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Ghost" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Ghost</a><span> 6.0 release for a little while now. However, it doesn't seem that they will release a full </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/microblogging" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#microblogging</a><span> platform. I doubt that it'll be much different from the beta (which is great, but can't replace a full-blown platform)<br><br>- And I'm extremely interested in </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Bonfire" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Bonfire</a><span>, but it won't be ready for users like me for another few months I believe...<br><br>Meanwhile, my feed hasn't been working for weeks on my account's </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Firefish" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Firefish</a><span> page, and now, the notifications have stopped working with </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Phanpy" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Phanpy</a><span> (I've used this account, partly with the native UI and partly with Phanpy for a little while).<br><br>I guess a temporary </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/Mastodon" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Mastodon</a><span> account will have to be it until something that can replace it comes along (I'm confident that Bonfire will be the one, but I was confident Iceshrimp and Akkomane were going to be the ones too...
