Dendrobatus Azureus<p>As you can see my second microHDMI cable has arrived and is installed. The SBC finally has a dual display setup. I need to get a second HDMI 3 port autoswitcher (a 4K version now) because the button below my large LG display is cumbersome to operate in its hidden position. Dendrobatus Azureus<p>I have buildin bug hunting attributes</p><p>Check out the linked toot. The display of oosplash and soffice.bin is on the GPU of my SBC. I am logged in via ssh on another computer. I expected that when Midnight Commander invoked the soffice.bin program for pdf as default editor, it would do an X export to the remote desktop I logged in from since the switches are -Xv2</p><p>Firefox did that gorgeously gkrellm does it well also.</p><p>In this case I got the splash initially on my remote machine (so desktop of ssh originator) but the rest was shown on SBC native desktop</p><p>The Pi5 runs wayland, but that can't have anything to do with the error, since gkrellm &amp; firefox spawn properly on the ssh originator</p><p>I will investigate this phenomenon further. Dendrobatus Azureus<p>As you can see in this photograph a level of stability has been reached in the installation and configuration of this 64bit SBC. </p><p>The configuration that was chosen by the maintainers of the Pi distro is one, where Super User needs to be run at any time, for root commands, because access to the root account has been disabled by default. </p><p>Security wise the SBC is fair provided that you do not allow others to get close to it in a physical plane. </p><p>I already have two installations one is on a microSD card the other is on a USB stick</p><p>It is important to realize that when you boot from the USB stick your USB-C power supply needs to be able to produce 5,000 milliamps, at 5V DC otherwise there will not be enough current for that control to be smooth.</p><p>Note:<br>The second display that you see does not belong to the control of the Raspberry Pi. <br>I need to get myself a second longer microHDMI to HDMI cable to reach the other IPS LED panel</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/RaspberryPi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RaspberryPi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/Pi5" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pi5</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/OpenSource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OpenSource</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/POSIX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>POSIX</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/micro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>micro</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/HDMI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HDMI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/Ventoy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ventoy</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/ISO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ISO</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/manager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>manager</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/POST" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>POST</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/microSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>microSD</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/freeBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>freeBSD</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/ARM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ARM</span></a></p>
