Daniel Tufvesson
The FXS line interface cards plugs into a backplane carrier board that handles audio routing and control. The current phone exchange prototype has four line card slots but the design and software is made for eight. Four audio busses allows for four active calls in parallel and supports both pulse dialing and DTMF dialing, meaning those nice classic phones and modems can be used as well! #pbx #retrocomputing
