Spectacular bit of Elbow gaslighting!

"The environment minister had to deal with the North West Shelf project under the existing EPBC Act, that we did try to change in the last election," he said.

ABC News · Labor MP Jerome Laxale pushes to force climate considerations into environment lawsBy Tom Lowrey

Just listened to latest Ep of PK's Politics Now. She & Speers spent the whole time talking about the Liebs. It's not like this was a one-off. So much ABC attention still on the Liebs.

During it, i got a sudden brief flash of rage, & momentarily thought i'd write a terse complaint to Aunty about this ridiculous fetish with the Liebs, as if they still had any electoral or parliamentary relevance.

Then i let the feeling fade, & just resigned myself to the awareness that nothing i can say will ever make any difference... not to media, not to pollies. They have their agendas & fixations, & other than every three years, i am impotent politically, whilst permanently impotent re MSM. Twas my own fault really... nobody forced me to listen to it. Sigh.

This is a weird headline...

We can stop Labor wrecking Murujuga, climate

...considering that afaict the actual article itself provides no reason for optimism at all. IMO, given we have state & federal Labor governments so completely in thrall to the fossil fools, & who have repeatedly proven they happily ignore science & First Nations, i see no reason to hope here.

Laura Tingle on when politics is at its best
.
Laura Tingle joins Fran and PK for one last party — and more importantly, one last strawberry daiquiri -- before she wraps up her 40-years in the press gallery.
.
And the Coalition is officially back together, and leader Sussan Ley has announced the make-up of her shadow cabinet. But while plenty of fresh faces have been elevated, some key names have been overlooked. So, will Sussan Ley and David Littleproud be able to maintain party unity?
.
And it's reconciliation week, so will a second term Albanese Government use its strong majority to push forward on Treaty and Truth like former Labor Senator and father of reconciliation Pat Dodson has called for?
.
Patricia Karvelas and Fran Kelly are joined by Laura Tingle, ABC's 7.30 Political Editor on The Party Room.
