Another data point, this one from the Manor Park neightbourhood, about 10 km away from me in Ottawa's east end: the wait there was an hour to vote at the advanced polls first thing this morning.
In my experience (I've been voting age for over 40 years), this is unprecedented. I wonder if it's happening in other Canadian municipalities as well.
The typical wait to vote in my neighbourhood is 0–5 minutes, either at the advanced or election-day polls.
Today, it's a 1 hour 20 minute wait in the line-up for the advanced poll. I'll try again later this weekend
