There's no way to link a parking to a specific poi or vise versa in #OpenStreetMap right?
except maybe some undocumented use of relations.

Like say you want to indicate that the parking next to a restaurant is of that restaurant. I guess you could use the operator tag but that's not really machine readable (you'd have to do a text similarity check with the poi name...)

Another "highway=residential" changed to "highway=steps".

Like most similar examples I have come across, it was mapped more than 10 years ago, and it is genuinely a named street - it just happens to have a section consisting of steps.

These are maddeningly difficult to find. As I mentioned in a previous post, I tend to discover them when looking for streets I have never visited in CityStrides. I can't think of any way to query OSM data that would identify suspicious cases.

Just sharing a small #OpenStreetMap story for the #Fediverse ^_^

In the past month, I had one simple goal: To test my mapping limits, and contribute every single day if possible. And just like that, I managed to make edits shy of 100K map changes.

These contributions mostly consisted of adding roughly 11.6K buildings in 3.98 sq. km, covering approx. 9.5% of total area under Siliguri Municipal Corporation, correcting Meta's improperly QA-ed AI-added roads,

A whole week no updates from the #caminofrances. As I wrote before, my main objective in walking the Francés (again) is to update as many accommodations in the #caminoNow App and in #openstreetmap as I can.

102 down, 1034 to go :)

Great sunrises and hot days make the decision to start at 4:30am easy. I usually am in the next town to talk to albergues before breakfast, get 2, 3 more towns in, and then flee from the sun into a café until the albergues reopen.

Arrived in Burgos today, tomorrow we climb up into the high desert, the Meseta, and walk the never ending fields…

Bread and Roses

As we come marching, marching, in the beauty of the day,
A million darkened kitchens, a thousand mill-lofts gray
Are touched with all the radiance that a sudden sun discloses,
For the people hear us singing, "Bread and Roses, Bread and Roses."

@JasnaPaka contributing to #BeaconDB nowadays feels like #OpenStreetMap in the early days, where one would fill the gaps bit by bit, trying to complete the bigger picture.

Would love to see a data collection service becoming a default option (opt-in) as a background service in one (or more) of the Android ROMs, @postmarketOS etc to increase the user-base far more, than just those that explicitly install and run #NeoStumbler etc

3. Die Overpass Query Language zum Durchsuchen von OpenStreetMal-Daten.

@gunchleoc Adding a note is fine. You can also edit yourself by signing up on openstreetmap.org, clicking edit, adding a point, and then searching with free text in the options suggested by the editor.

The #OpenStreetMap wiki has all the details, mostly under the docs for key:amenity wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Ke , but you generally don't need to know so much.

Another option is #StreetComplete streetcomplete.app/
