Doerk<p>The cloud is everywhere. Many of us trust cloud solutions for data storage, computing resources or for centralised management of smart home devices. But most of the people using cloud resources are not aware, that they are in dependency of their service provider. And what happens, if a provider cuts off his cloud service? Like Bosch did with their Spexor devices, their quite expensive "mobile alarm system" Thousands of Spexor devices will become expensive electronic trash on July 1st.</p><p>Maybe it's better to think twice, before relying on cloud based solutions. We don't know when, but it is sure that - at a certain point - the provider will always cut off services. Sooner or later.
