Kennric<p>A belated <a href="https://c.im/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> post, hello and pleased to meet you. I am Ken, (he, him, his except on special occasions), and I currently work at keeping a <a href="https://c.im/tags/university" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>university</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/research" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>research</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/computing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>computing</span></a> center online and computing. Previously, I was the head <a href="https://c.im/tags/developer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>developer</span></a> at the OSU Open Source Lab, (<a href="https://c.im/tags/osuosl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>osuosl</span></a>, go <a href="https://c.im/tags/foss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>foss</span></a>!), and before that more <a href="https://c.im/tags/development" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>development</span></a> and <a href="https://c.im/tags/sysadmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sysadmin</span></a> stuff, ad nauseum.</p><p>When not babysitting <a href="https://c.im/tags/computers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>computers</span></a>, I am a <a href="https://c.im/tags/blacksmith" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>blacksmith</span></a>, <a href="https://c.im/tags/woodworker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>woodworker</span></a>, general <a href="https://c.im/tags/maker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>maker</span></a> of things artistic and utilitarian. I do a bit of <a href="https://c.im/tags/writing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>writing</span></a>, a bit of <a href="https://c.im/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>art</span></a>, a bit of <a href="https://c.im/tags/kink" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>kink</span></a>, and a fair amount of <a href="https://c.im/tags/baking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>baking</span></a>. Also there are <a href="https://c.im/tags/ducks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ducks</span></a> all over the place here, but those are mostly not my fault.</p><p>I came to mastodon from the bird site, like so many, and have found the philosophy and practice here so much more to my open source, <a href="https://c.im/tags/anarchist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>anarchist</span></a>, <a href="https://c.im/tags/anticapitalist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>anticapitalist</span></a>, <a href="https://c.im/tags/commumity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>commumity</span></a> oriented taste, I think I will stay. Unlike the other place I may actually post occasionally.</p>
