DoomsdaysCW<p>So, one of my sister-in-laws made a firm decision NOT to give her kids phones until they were 16, and instead did crafts with them, encouraged them to be in plays, and gave them dance and music lessons (all the same things my own grandparents did with me). Both kids are in college now and are still very creative! And yeah, they have phones, but aren't addicted to them. Now my other sister-in-law gave her 9-year-old a smart phone, and tbh, I'm a little wary to interact with her. She used to spend a lot of her time outdoors and was very artistic, but now is on the phone all the time, and only cares about what other "mean girls" think. I've seen first-hand the damage smartphone addiction can do to young minds.
