Tomorrow I will show you some very special photos. We had so many visitors in the #museum today that I had to flee for a moment. In an empty exhibition room, I looked up for the first time in years. 😎 And I was fascinated what I discovered.
I am museum guide but discover something new myself every time 🤫.

Plus I saved a mysterious object with our head conservator, which I had found in a stable window. More tomorrow!

Part of a huge collection of earthenware vessels from the region, which are blue/grey or fired in shades of brown, depending on their origin.
A picture frame with a wooden panel on which various locks and keys are collected. People used to keep everything, you never knew how you could still use parts to repair things. In the museum depot, we have countless drawers with ancient screws and parts for the same reason. Because when we need to restore something, the old parts are no longer available to buy.

A collection of 5 cleavers for butchering in different sizes. Sometimes we have sensitive visitors from the big city who would like a CW: 'You can't display cleavers, that's brutal!' We can: that's cultural heritage and country life. And we are a museum!
