#Podcasting: I have a problem. My enthusiasm has run away with me. I have to spread my #moss topic over 2 podcast episodes (so much exciting stuff!). But now episode 1 is already 2 hours long. (I could shorten it with a hard cut).
edit: My solution: = kill your darlings.
Ideal podcast episode for you:
@Ruth_Mottram How fascinating is this!
I'm just producing a double episode of my podcast #NatureMatchCuts about #mosses, and I had never heard about these little tribbles before.
I have to read your links. If I have any questions later, may I ask them?
Would they survive a transplanting? Mosses are tough but very sensitive to habitat changes ...

Another bit of shelf fungus from the same (former) apple tree. Plus some moss!
#MosstodonMonday
An old, cement, garden #pagoda covered in mosses
Finally, finally, I've mastered the #moss sex without using complicated technical terms. Now it's time to ask the #tardigrade more questions. Then scripting the outro. The final spurt.
In the evenings and during breaks, I create the sound design for the episode (in thoughts).
Sleep is overrated, coffee undervalued.
Tomorrow a disaster day of proofreading between multiple appointments.
I'm my own worst critic.
Then sleep. A voice needs sleep.

Well, after writing 25,000 characters (and no end), I decided that my #moss special for the podcast comeback will come in two parts. There's so much fascinating to tell about #mosses! *At least* one hour for the first part.
Now I need a short brain break outside in nature ... then back to #scripting. With a big coffee.
Another new moss! Really need to find a northwest moss expert somewhere to help me start figuring these out. There have been very few moss observations here and almost every one of mine would be extending the iNat range of the genus or family, which makes me a little hesitant to claim a species based on the Computer Vision alone
Anyway… this beautiful little friend was growing near the banks of the river, which seemed like an interesting place
Spent the weekend up in Door County Wisconsin and did a few hikes. Y’shtola seemed to have a good time! #hike #bernese #berner #bernersennenhund #bernesemountaindog #nature #moss #lake
