This is your daily reminder that Microsoft is subject to a BDS boycott due to its active support of the IDF during the genocide in Palestine via Microsoft Azure & AI services. Microsoft has additionally actively tried to purge pro-Palestinian dissent among its employees and has repeatedly fired people for objecting to its complicity in genocide. If you support Microsoft (or its products) with your money or with your voice, your supporting is helping to enable genocide.

This boycott targets most of Microsoft's products and services, including the entirety of Microsoft's gaming division. This means every company owned by Microsoft - and unfortunately, that is a lot.

Popular developers owned by Microsoft include ID software, Bethesda, Activision Blizzard, Obsidian Entertainment, Double Fine, and Mojang.

Popular & upcoming games included in this boycott are Overwatch 2, Minecraft, Doom: The Dark Ages, the Oblivion Remake, The Outer Worlds 2, the Elder Scrolls Online, every Call of Duty game, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, the Forza series, and more.

If you aren't willing to stop playing these games, please consider at least not spending any money on them and not amplifying them on social media. It sucks, I know. I have been a huge fan of ID software and Bethesda for much of my life. But they will still be here in a few years, whereas if we do not do everything in our power stop the genocide in Palestine, Palestine may not.

You can read more about the boycott at the BDS movement website:

Continued thread

This is what the bottom looks like. I tried to make the resin as pigmented as possible to hide the electronics. When lit up and looked at in the dark, the electronics become somewhat visible as a silhouette.

It is done \o/

This is a goodbye present for my friend and colleague, who will resign her job next week. She is a huge #Minecraft fan, so I made her an #axolotl out of epoxy resin, put it in a fancy resin cube and lit the whole thing up with addressable LEDs. I would have used simple fairy lights, but I didn't have any 🙈 ... So I used what I found in my cupboard, which was WS2812B's and an Arduino Nano.

Making the axolotl was a bit of an experimental adventure, but it worked well.

I call it cute-alotl, because it turned out way too cute 🙈

It has two USB ports at the back, one for programming the Arduino and the other for power. Unfortunately the Arduino cannot power the required 1.5A for the LEDs.

It also has glow in the dark powder mixed into two back walls, so it will continue to glow when powered off.

More progress on #fediworks
Decided to play with Legacy4J since I just got a controller (Ill talk about it when i use it more) and I wanted to play with it. Oddly enough the Neoforge version just refuses to pick up my Steam Controller while on my Steam Deck, even though the Fabric version (Later version of MC but same version of the mod) works perfectly fine.
I was planning on starting to make spheres in the sky, but I think Dog Monument was more significant
Also went exploring, and while building the park I found this cat. I dont know where it came from, I dont know what to name it, but I was fishing yesterday and i got a name tag.
