alright, in re: this week's poll

Patriot's Day - singular posessive - is the official #Maine usage since 1907.

Patriots - no apostrophe - is the usage for the title of the 2016 movie.

Plural Possessive apostrophe after S implies that there's more than one patriot celebrated, and is the Official usage for #Massachusetts

Reading into this, English is crazy. #PatriotsDay

The email said their duties were "identified as either unnecessary or virtually identical to duties being performed elsewhere in the agency." But the #genetic #tracing that the #CDC's lab performs is not conducted by any lab in the #UnitedStates or the #world….

While it remains shuttered, ongoing investigations of current #hepatitis #outbreaks have been stalled, not just in #Florida, but also in #Oregon, #Pennsylvania, #Massachusetts, #NewMexico, #Wisconsin, #WestVirginia & #Georgia….

My mother is a senior who, like most seniors, has a fixed income. She collects social security and EBT (food stamps).

On April 26-27, they are taking the whole EBT System OFFLINE. That has never happened before. They claim it is for "maintenance" and I am worried this is DOGE related.

She can rely on people, if worse comes to worst, but not everyone does. If you know someone who gets EBT / Food Stamps, I recommend they use them before that time.

From Malcolm Gladwell's _The Tipping Point_, Chapter 2:

"In two hours, he covered thirteen miles. In every town he passed through along the way [...] he knocked on doors and spread the word, telling local colonial leaders of the oncoming British, and telling them to spread the word to others. Church bells started ringing. Drums started beating. [...] those informed by Paul Revere sent out riders of their own, until alarms were going off throughout the entire region. The word was in Lincoln, Massachusetts, by one A.M., in Sudbury by three, in Andover, forty miles northwest of Boston, by five A.M., and by nine in the morning had reached as far west as Ashby, near Worcester.
