The hotel where I am living until the repairs are complete on my apartment building has 400 units and people from all over the US. I had mumps and rubella - but no immunity for <a href="https://beige.party/tags/measles" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>measles</span></a>.</p><p>I asked about a <a href="https://beige.party/tags/covid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>covid</span></a> booster - I usually get them every six months and am a little overdue. The pharmacist told me that their vaccines had all been sent back as outdated and they had no idea when or if they would get an updated version.</p>

I found my old Army shot records which showed that I had a booster in the 1980s so I should be good. My doc was satisfied with it. Man, the Army gave me a lot of shots. They used an airgun that drove the vaccine past the skin, leaving a tiny bleeding wound. It really stung.

For anyone in the UK who didn't get two doses of the #MMR vaccine as a child: the NHS will happily give you your missed doses now, free of charge. Just contact your doctor's surgery.
The MMR vaccine wasn't introduced here until 1988. If you were born before that, you probably haven't had the MMR jab. This page explains who needs it and how to get it:
