Fedi.Tips<p>The Fediverse's social reading platform BookWyrm lets you import your account data from Goodreads, LibraryThing, StoryGraph, OpenLibrary or Calibre. John Goerzen<p>I have been using <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Goodreads" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Goodreads</span></a> for way too long. It is time for something different. Nice-to-haves would include an Android app that can scan barcodes and add to categories, Goodreads import, support for both <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Dewey" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Dewey</span></a> and <a href="https://floss.social/tags/LibraryOfCongress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LibraryOfCongress</span></a> systems, integration with <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Calibre" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Calibre</span></a>, and ability to keep my reading and library info private. I've seen <a href="https://floss.social/tags/libib" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>libib</span></a> and <a href="https://floss.social/tags/LibraryThing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LibraryThing</span></a> recommended. <a href="https://floss.social/tags/BookWyrm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BookWyrm</span></a> too, though I'm looking more for personal categorization than social sharing. Anthony Sorace<p>Signed up for LibraryThing (R.I.P. Delicious Library). Started adding things to my collection last night. Inspired by a few personal websites I’ve seen recently, I was looking at playing with using that to feed mine. Now looking at the docs, there’s a bunch of notices that the <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/LibraryThing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LibraryThing</span></a> API has been disabled since like 2021.</p><p>So… anyone know of something that does library management, can pull from some decent existing database, and offers an api I can use to query my own library?</p>
