It’s funny how quickly I’ve shifted to 40mm as my preferred lens. A 40mm Minolta pretty much lives on my Leica now, and I’ve gone back to 27mm for most of my Fuji shooting. I found myself switching between 35 and 50mm (or APS-C equivalent on the Fuji) all the time and the 40 seems to have fixed that. #photography #lens

The fact that people usually didn't look sharp was due to the long exposure times (ISO #collodion: 0.25). If you shine 6000 Ws of light on a person for a collodion #portrait , you also get the impression of the capabilities of a lens from 1882.
