Tom :damnified:

https://discuss.linuxcontainers.org/t/incus-deinstalled-after-upgrade-in-debian-bookworm-with-backports/23209

#incus #server #debian

Alexander Bochmann
Huh, Incus now also supports qemu guests?

This threw me off track because I installed Incus on Debian from bookworm-backports some time ago, and while the incus package on this VM now pulls in qemu-system-arm, apt tries to use a version from the main archive, and an update of packages already installed fails:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
incus : Depends: qemu-system-arm (>= 1:8.0) but 1:7.2+dfsg-7+deb12u12 is to be installed

[edit] it seems you should now install incus-base instead of incus when the qemu integration isn't required, see followup post

Things seem resolve when forcing a reinstall while manually referencing bookworm-backports:

apt install -t bookworm-backports incus

...won't be able to make use of this feature anyway - the VM that hosts this install doesn't support nested virtualization.

#debian #incus
