Today is a day when I canceled my #Fastmail subscription in favor of #Infomaniak email service.

I also started migrating domains from #cloudflare to #Infomaniak.

I'm planning to deploy #Pangolin on a VPS once I need to set up tunnels.

Angenommen ich möchte einer Person auf Basis eines alten Thin-Clients ein kleines #NAS mit USB-Platten (ja, ich weiß, nicht ideal, nervt nicht) hinstellen, das im besten Fall noch Anwendungen via Docker betreiben kann. Die Person aber hat wenig Lust, sich damit (intensiv) befassen zu müssen. Im Idealfall läuft das Teil einfach und Updates/Upgrades des Systems lassen sich möglichst einfach einspielen. Mensch hat Linux-Erfahrung, administriert aber nix.

Was für ein OS nehme ich da? #OpenMediaVault? #TrueNAS? Was anderes? #Unraid fällt eher raus, weil das Preismodell von denen insane ist.

Wie ihr Online-Dienste selbst betreibt, zeigen wir euch im @ct_uplink. Ganz gleich, ob Smarthome auf dem Raspi, Nextcloud auf dem Homeserver oder auf einem angemieteten Server im Rechenzentrum. Selber machen ist angesagt.

Ok so for the past day until now I have been fighting with the migration of my #paperless install from my #raspberrypi to my new #homeserver ... now I seem to have found the solution why the import script did not want to run through! It's b/c of the german Umlauts!!! (ä,ü,ö) Manually edited the exported manifest.json to exclude all critical files with Umlauts in their title seems to have done it, now the import script ran through

Der ist Modelljahr 2011 und macht unter Linux Mint #LMS, #Jellyfin und #Nextcloud. Bei NC ist das Ding aber bei 1 Nutzer am Ende.

Hardware- und Software-Tests sind gut verlaufen. Backup-Software, Foto-Sync und eine Reihe kleiner Homeserver-Anwendungen (pi-hole, Readeck, Memos usw.) laufen 24/7 im Heimnetz bei geringem Stromverbrauch.

What do you all use for log analysis/monitoring on your #HomeServer? I would like to inspect and get alerted on different sources (system logs, /var/Log and docker logs).
I would like to avoid the #ELK stack although it would support everything I need, but it is too heavy-weight.

You cannot login to your #nextcloud installation in your browser?
Your instance is located in a sub directory (say yoursubdir)?
And your browser fails to load logo.svg (status 500) which causes oauth token invalidation?

#TIL Three lines in your nginx.conf work as a workaround:

location = /core/img/logo/logo.svg {
try_files $uri /yoursubdir$request_uri;
}

Alternatively put a (custom) logo.svg at the expected place.

I just moved here from #fosstodon because of some moderation drama there leading to some instances defederating, also because i wanted to switch to an instance hosted in Europe.

I like computers, especially those running #GNUlinux especially #NixOS. I’m currently setting up my #homeserver with NixOS. I maintain a few packages in nixpkgs.

I like #programming, especially in #Rustlang, sometimes when programming in other languages I notice that they are in fact not Rust. Sometimes I complain about it on Fedi
