#hiking #pnw #northcascades Tried a second time to snowshoe to Cascade Pass. Ran into some issues, but will try again. Great day. Still a great hike.

Trying another long walk. Eventually I'll get too old to do it, but the only way to find out if I'm too old is to try to do it.
30 miles (more or less) from Auburn to Folsom. I did this same walk about this time last year. So gorgeous. So physically demanding.
Lyft will drop me off in Auburn 30 minutes before sunrise. If it goes like last year, I'll get home at 9 or 10 PM. I'll post pics every 5 miles along the way. Wish me luck!
Big seas on the coast at Camel Rock and Horse Head Rock. Gulaga looking resplendent in the sea haze.

Beartooth Highway from the winter closure 2300m winds it's way up to the 3200m + Plateau on the SE wall of Rock Creek Canyon in 5 switchbacks. We just hiked up to #3 and turned round for 14K. Getting deep on the road. But not skiable, some real thin areas, better to hike. Probably about 25cm fell in there from last system, less than town. Sheltered some from N-NE flow. -3C not windy at the start, one of the most beautiful days all winter #climate #hiking #dogs #winter #mountains #montana
It's a good friday indeed.

It was a gorgeous spring day today in SE Massachusetts! I took a nice long walk along the #CapeCod canal all the way to the end of this jetty that lines the entrance to the canal from the ocean. Looked for whales that had been active here lately, but no sign of spouts. Maybe they've just moved on to another spot. #FootpathFriday #ocean
I've started walking south of the Tyne with some friends who live in Yorkshire, today's walk was great but the highlight undoubtably fantastic views of 4 black grouse on an inbye field. They looked like they were lekking, flashing tail feathers and wings, but I thought they only did that at dawn?
”The enormity of what I’m about to do feels daunting, and my inner critic is being an asshole. But before my first steps on the Oregon Coast Trail, it’s time for a roadtrip to the Northern Terminus.”

Good day!
The real editing countdown has begun. Nine chapters remain.
It is, though, a bit like climbing a mountain. There are always more mountains. Fortunately, I love to climb writing mountains.
I at last began my self-editing series on my blog. Another mountain, & one unexpectedly popular.
Be everwell.
We recently enjoyed re-visiting our Lumsden - Sculpture Walk - Clova Estate walk and have updated the guidance …
My lovely walk today was cut short because I rolled my ankle on a pothole on a country lane, fell down and hurt my knee and wrist. So rather than a 15km walk, I ended up only walking about 7km. When I got home and took my boot off, my ankle swelled up and is now in agony. So my boot kept my ankle stable and pain free, which I guess is a good thing, but I may have walked on it too much.
We have a walk planned with friends tomorrow as well, hope I’ll be able to walk then. It’s not looking hopeful .
