FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

At 615 PM HST, rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour were occurring
over east Oahu from Waimanalo to Hawaii Kai. The band of higher rain rates has moved east of Oahu into the Kaiwi Channel. Although
rainfall has eased, stream levels remain elevated, especially along
the windward slopes of the Koolau Range.

Maui in Maui County in Hawaii...

* At 357 AM HST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Waiehu to near Kipahulu, moving southwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Kahului, Honokohau, Haliimaile, Kipahulu, Wailuku, Makawao, Paia,
Keokea, Olowalu, Wailea, Waihee, and Kaanapali.

City and County of Honolulu

Rolling power outage starting around 6PM tonight. Please conserve power and water.

Hawaiian Electric (HECO) has advised that due to a shortage of generation capacity, power may be turned off to selected areas of O‘ahu beginning at about 6 p.m. today, Wednesday July 31, 2024.

Additionally, the Board of Water Supply (BWS) is asking customers from the Leeward Coast through Kahala and up to and including Mililani to start conserving water immediately.
