Is America Pissed Off Enough at Trump & Musk for a General Strike?
YES

“Nothing, nothing, NOTHING can move w/o our labor, & it’s time to exercise our power in a united working class.

"The US hasn’t seen such a massive labor action in 78 years. But the oligarchic wreckage of this admin is fueling multiple movements toward that goal."

The New Republic · Is America Pissed Off Enough at Trump and Musk for a General Strike? The United States hasn’t seen such a massive labor action in 78 years. But the oligarchic wreckage of this administration is fueling multiple movements toward that goal.

Today in Labor History May 4, 1926: Workers started a General Strike in the U.K. Unions called the strike to force the government to prevent wage reductions for 1.2 million locked-out coal miners. The strike lasted until May 12. Over 1.7 million workers participated. However, the TUC (Trades Union Congress) limited participation to just a few unions because they feared the revolutionary potential of a full blown General Strike. In their newspaper, they wrote: “The General Strike. . . is the road to anarchy.”

"Border agents posted at Tucson maternity ward to quickly deport migrant mom."

The woman🚨will be given the choice of whether she wants to take her newborn, a US citizen born Wed, with her when she is deported.

But #DHS officers, who're posted outside the woman's Tucson MED CEN hospital room, are🚨refusing to let the new mother speak to a lawyer, as she's requested.

The #TrumpRegime is heartless & depraved.

Trump Suggests Rs Start Expelling Dems From Congress. Homan implied: the admin may also target state & local lawmakers who protect migrant communities.

While no MOC has yet been charged by Trump’s admin, the WH seems to be getting comfortable with🚨using the DOJ to retaliate or make an example of pol rivals. The FBI last week arrested Judge Dugan +launched an investigation into Chris Krebs.

I woke up this #Mayday from a dream of a #generalstrike

Workers inside a massive, billionaire's house were taking turns enjoying the benefits of their free time, exploring their heart's desires, leisurely. They still were doing "work" but it was adding to the collective value of their community, not letting the those with capital scrap away and hoard the cream of their labor. Suddenly, and without violence they had taken control of the means of production, & thus their lives.

Today In Labor History May 1, 1886: The first nationwide General Strike for the 8-hour day occurred in Milwaukee and other U.S. cities. In Chicago, police killed four demonstrators and wounded over 200. This led to the mass meeting a Haymarket Square, where an unknown assailant threw a bomb, killing several cops. The authorities responded by rounding up all the city’s leading anarchists, and a kangaroo court which wrongfully convicted 8 of them, including Albert Parsons, husband of Lucy Parsons, who would go on to cofound the IWW, along with Mother Jones, Big Bill Haywood, Eugene Debs, and others. Worldwide protests against the convictions and executions followed. To honor the wrongfully executed anarchists, and their struggle for the 8-hour day, May first has ever since been celebrated as International Workers Day in nearly every country in the world, except the U.S.

You can read my complete bio of Lucy Parsons here: michaeldunnauthor.com/2024/03/

Why you should skip work and refuse to buy anything tomorrow, May 1:

*A General Strike is the most effective way to pressure the government to change

*Protracted General Strikes have revolutionary potential. They can bring down governments and pave the way to for libertarian communism

*Everyone else on the planet is doing it, and has been doing so since 1886, when the U.S. executed 4 anarchists on trumped up charges of throwing a bomb in Haymarket Square, during protests to establish the 8-hour work day in the U.S.

Add student activists, immigrants, trans people. And don't forget, the registries for autistic people and Jews. And camps for people with disabilities, depression, anxiety, and autism.

Honestly, we're already nearing the end of Pastor Niemoller's poem w/almost no resistance. If people wait much longer, there won't be enough people left for a General Strike to make any difference.

No one is Free until we ALL are Free!

For a World without Bosses, Landlords, Priests or Kings!

Today in Labor History April 27, 1825: The first strike for the 10-hour workday was started by carpenters in Boston. At the time, employers often forced people to work over fourteen hours a day. Boston workers struck again in 1827. Both strikes were unsuccessful. However, in 1835, they struck again for the 10-hour workday. This time, they organized a travelling committee to expand the movement. Influenced by their comrades in Philadelphia, Irish workers on the Schuylkill River coal wharves, joined the strike. They threatened to kill anyone who crossed their lines and attempted to unload coal. These actions led to the 1835 Philadelphia General Strike, the first General Strike in America. 20,000 workers participated. And it spread quickly to other cities. By the end of 1835, the 10-hour workday had become the norm in most major U.S. cities.

They have in common ascending an ever-thinning tree, until it bends and breaks after which gravity takes over.

Aside from the transactional allies whose heads are stepped on and fall earlier, unfortunately there is always a large crowd of bystanders down below, getting hammered by wreckage. That's us.

Best stop him before potential energy of his fall grows and becomes kinetic.

Get out on the streets. Deny services.

The General StrikeThe General StrikeThe General strike -the people united shall never be stopped. If we strike together we can make true real change. Sign the strike card today.

All of western civilization boils down to a division between a reckless few willing to commit unspeakable atrocities to gain and maintain influence, power and control over everyone and everything against a vast majority who only desire peace and stability.

The violence wins because the people want peace and are willing to compromise.

It's time to stop compromising.

Deny those people your labor, your attention, and your life. Turn your backs on them.
