aphex twink<p>saw a post about geckos and wanted to post this photo I took of tiny (then undescribed) day gecko species i found right outside my house but i can't seem to find it. here's a another I took while on a survey of the herpetofauna of that region 8 years back in 5 days from today. </p><p>i believe the common name and even the scientific name has changed but I know it as the Termite Hill Gecko (<em>Hemidactylus triedrus</em>) and it does get a lot more vividly coloured than this. </p><p><a href="https://toot.cat/tags/Gecko" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gecko</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/Geckos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Geckos</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/GeckosOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GeckosOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/Lizard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Lizard</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/LizardsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LizardsOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/Herps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Herps</span></a> <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/Herpetofauna" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Herpetofauna</span></a></p>
Anthony Horton<p>Geckos! Spotted loads of these tonight in Padova, hanging out near lights waiting for moths. iNaturalist reckons they are Moorish Geckos (Tarentola mauritanica). Quite large, by gecko standards.</p><p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/LizardPosting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LizardPosting</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/LizardsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LizardsOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/GeckosOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GeckosOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Lizard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Lizard</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Gecko" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gecko</span></a></p>
