A very interesting liturgical point in this song.

"Free from desire, my incenses purifiy her."

A) Gala believes she is one of the Magi, clearly the dancers are Johnny Gold and Frank Myrrh.

2) Gala also posits that Jesus was not bound to gendered pronouns.

"Do we have to keep talking about religion? It's Christmas!"

Gala Rizzatto recorded this slice of Eurodisco, and it followed "Closer than close" as the dance anthem of late summer '97.

It's remembered by pop culture, picked up on football terraces and protest marches. Gala came out of the woodwork last year to re-record the song a la Taylor Swift...
