Ever heard of the Global Fact-Checking Network? Nope, not the International Fact-Checking Network (https://www.poynter.org/ifcn/) - the other, "alternative" one.
Anyway, just reading their posts for research purposes. Was positively surprised by their awareness of the role of language, lexical choice and linguistic framing in fact-checking methodology:
"Examine the language each source uses to describe the event. Who is blamed? What adjectives are employed? Is the actor described as “defending,” “attacking,” “responding,” or “provoking”? These terms reveal embedded assumptions and geopolitical allegiances."
That's awesome! Until ...
"For example, a missile strike by Ukraine on Russian territory might be termed “retaliation” in Western media, but “aggression” in Russian sources."
Rrrrright

LLM „AI“ modely mohou pomoct s ověřením faktů v článcích, obrázcích a videí. Jak na to?
LLM “AI” models can help with fact-checking in articles, images, and videos. How can they do that?
From someone's IMDB review of the dramatisation of the Amanda Knox trial:
"I followed the Amanda Knox trial back in the day, but didn't remember a lot of the details. I kept checking ChatGPT while watching to compare what was real and what was dramatized."
There is no way we, as a society, are ever going to recover from this deliberate dumbing down. We might as well let cockroaches take over right now, sure they would take a better care of the planet.
A Polish rally video resurfaces as fake French protest footage.
An old video of a march in Warsaw to mark Poland's independence day has resurfaced online, with social media users falsely claiming that it depicts mass protests in Paris against the French government.
The video has previously been shared with other misleading captions related to an alleged 'anti-migrant' march in Warsaw.
"Leute. Er redet sehr viel Müll. Das ist Zeitverschwendung. Lasst uns andere Dinge in den Fokus nehmen!"
