Years ago, the fire bell rang in the ad agency where I worked. I got up & walked briskly down the hall, past the office of the president. Who called out, "It's probably a false alarm!" Ignoring him, I marched out the door, down 3 flights, & out to the curb, quickly followed by almost all my co-workers.
Minutes later, the boss finally joined us—just as the trucks arrived to put out the (quite real) fire.
