I hope some group will fork #DivestOS.

If like me you don't like to run Chrome on Android, meet #Ironfox[1], a great project that continues the legacy of the now defunct #Mull[2] by #DivestOS.
Ironfox enables features upstreamed by the #Tor uplift project and preferences from the `arkenfox-user.js` project.
Repo to be added to F-droid/NeoStore: https://fdroid.ironfoxoss.org/fdroid/repo/index.html

Random thought, but since #DivestOS has shut down, what happens to #Hypatia antivirus? Did it have other contributors outside of that project? Will they keep developing it? All the "donate" links on its GitHub go to the Divest page, but I'm not sure how independent Hypatia is or isn't. I use #CalyxOS and Hypatia is included or endorsed by them, so I'm sort of curious.
Sad news: The great #DivestOS project has come to an end and with it popular apps such as the hardened #Firefox fork #Mull, #Hypatia and the #Mulch browser: https://divestos.org/pages/news#end
Better migrate to #Fennec or #Firefox.
Thanks for all the hard work on the project all these years @divested! You will be missed and not forgotten.
#DivestOS has announced it will cease to get updates. Among other devices, this affects the #Fairphone2 – afaik DivestOS was the last remaining OS that still provided security updates for the FP2.

KUDOS to #DivestOS supporting #Android11 with monthly security patches for #Fairphone2 !!!

#Fairphone 2 has been released Dec 2015 - 9 years success story of a phone with great #repairability
@kuketzblog
Does anyone know why #DivestOS is still based on Android 13? Since it is forked from LOS it should have been upgraded some time ago... Wondering about the security implications.
(I don't know if @divested is regularly checking this place. I am aware he is basically running a one man show so no pressure, just trying to understand.)
#DivestOS 15.1 through 18.1 RC#1 November ASB builds are all up: https://divestos.org/pages/news#2024-11
That concludes the November update.
#DivestOS 14.1, 19.1, and 20.0 RC#1 November ASB builds are all up: https://divestos.org/pages/news#2024-11
Um, is there a way to get a camera app shortcut on the lock screen (without unlocking) with #DivestOS?
How?
Me:
> Does it have the same policy as F-Droid of only shipping apps under licenses that respect our software freedoms?
Hmm, no response from the DivestOS maintainer ( @divested), so I'll take that as a no. If I didn't care about that, I'd just use the @IzzyOnDroid repo. No offence untended to the workers of either project, we just have different priorities.
More motivation to get a fresh OS working on my PinePhone ...
