House Panther :verified:<p>If you're going to choose a cloud hosting provider, please do not use <a href="https://goblackcat.social/tags/DigitalOcean" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DigitalOcean</span></a> Digital Ocean does not pay attention to abuse reports. They do not take offending hosts offline. They allow hosts to continue making intrusion attempts, port scanning, and all kinds of nefarious activities. Fuck Digital Ocean! Use a reputable cloud hosting provider.</p>

Alex0007<p>DigitalOcean stole $20 from my balance. I topped it up when war and censorship started, right before Visa/Mastercard left Russia as a backup method. Now I logged back in and my balance is $0 with $20 gone with "Adjustment for failed Stripe refund" description. I haven't logged into the account and haven't requested any refunds. And if their refund failed, then why did they still subtract that money from the balance?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DigitalOcean" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DigitalOcean</span></a></p>

Dr. Fyzziks<p>Sooo, any suggestions for a hosting/VPS type company located in either <a href="https://makervine.net/tags/Canada" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Canada</span></a> or <a href="https://makervine.net/tags/Europe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Europe</span></a>? Kyle Bronsdon<p>I'm so tired of being a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/VPS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VPS</span></a> nomad, but increase pricing OR provide less for the price -- you may pick ONE if you want anything resembling loyalty from me as a customer, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Hetzner" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hetzner</span></a>. You could ask <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DigitalOcean" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DigitalOcean</span></a> about it but they'll just keep acting like they don't care. </p><p>Note to self: Solidly confirm that candidates will open port 25 BEFORE you migrate anything.
