We have settlements and agricultural wastelands with pesticides everywhere.</p><p>Also, sinks start outgassing once ppm drops. So if your <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/NDC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NDC</span></a> include negative emissions by DACS or CCS to undo a temperature <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/overshoot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>overshoot</span></a>, to really remove 1t CO2 from the system, you must remove 1.5t once we're in the negative emissions phase.</p><p>Outgassing is a physical process to balance changes in atmosphere composition. But of course, when ppm drops considerably, it also changes °C and regional climate and hydrological cycles – again. So your ecosystem is going into adaptation mode all over again. Forests burn.. again.</p><p>Overshoot scenarios aren't a good idea, even if we had working technology and concepts. Es lohnt immer noch. Auf der Seite der Petition sieht es so aus, als sei es sowieso hoffnungslos, weil nach sechs Wochen kaum die Hälfte der erforderlichen Stimmen zusammen gekommen zu sein scheinen. So ist es aber nicht. Die Verwaltung des Landtags geht die eingeganenen Meldungen tatsächlich von Hand durch und sammelt die Donald Ducks aus Entenhausen heraus. Deshalb ist der Zähler absolut nicht aktuell. Wir können nicht sagen, wo wir wirklich stehen, aber unser Eindruck ist, wir stehen knapp vorm Ziel.</p><p>Gestern waren wir mit fünfzig Menschen in <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Brunsb%C3%BCttel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Brunsbüttel</span></a> auf einer entspannten Demonstration. Es waren viele Anwohner dabei und viele Interessierte, besonders aus <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Hamburg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hamburg</span></a> und <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Kiel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kiel</span></a>. In Gesprächen wurde für mich deutlich, daß die Stimmung der Anwohner sich verändert hat. Auch diejenigen, die bisher auf Dialog und Interessenausgleich mit dem Hafenbetreiber gesetzt haben verlieren das Vertrauen. Da macht jede Stimme einen Unterschied. Also zeichnet und verbreitet gerne weiter.</p><p>Zum Inhalt: Unsere Regierung beschäftigt sich eingehend mit aus heutiger Sicht vermeintlich unvermeidbaren Restemissionen, während die größten Einsparpotentiale nicht mit Nachdruck gehoben werden. Ein Jahr vorgezogener <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Kohleaustieg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kohleaustieg</span></a>, ein Jahr früher das unvermeidliche <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Tempolimit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tempolimit</span></a> kaufen uns Jahre, um über die wirklich schwierigen Fälle der Vermeidung und Reduktion gründlich nachzudenken und vertrauenswürdige Lösungen zu verabreden. </p><p>Schon in den kommenden Wochen wird über ein geändertes <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Kohlendioxid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kohlendioxid</span></a> Speicher- und Transportgesetz im <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Bundestag" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bundestag</span></a> abgestimmt. Kohlendioxid soll nicht mehr vorrangig vermieden werden, sondern gemanagt. Es wird neben dem immer noch fortschreitenden Ausbau des Erdgasnetzes und dem künftigen <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Wasserstoffkernnetz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Wasserstoffkernnetz</span></a> noch ein weiteres Leitungsnetz für Kohlendioxid im ganzen Land geplant. Dieses Netz schafft überhaupt erst einen Markt für Kohlendioxid und Märkte wollen wachsen.</p><p>Die Aussicht, Kohlendioxid irgendwie anders los zu werden wird Unternehmen zum Abwarten verleiten, anstatt schnell Emissionen zu mindern. Dabei ist für keinen der notwendigen Schritte die technische Machbarkeit bisher belastbar nachgewiesen und wirtschaftlich ist es schon garnicht. Kohlendioxidpipelines sind gefährlicher als Erdgaspipelines, weil Kohlendioxid bei einem Leck nicht so flüchtig ist wie Erdgas, sondern am Boden bleibt. Die Abscheideraten sind absurd gering, die Kosten extrem. Selbst wenn man Kohlendioxid mit Macht wieder dorthin verpressen könnte, wo man einst kohlenstoffhaltige Brennstoffe hergeholt hat, wäre am Ende doch mehr Kohlendioxid in der Atmosphäre als vorher. </p><p>Die Hauptakteure im Bereich CCS sind dieselben Erdöl- und <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Erdgasfirmen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Erdgasfirmen</span></a>, die uns in die Misere gebracht haben. Vor zwanzig Jahren hieß das Verfahren <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/EOR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EOR</span></a>, <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/EnhancedOilRecovery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EnhancedOilRecovery</span></a> weil die einzigen Stellen, wo bisher CO₂ verpresst wird Erdölförderstätten sind, aus denen so mehr Erdöl herausgepresst werden kann. Jetzt eben CCS. Aber das will auch niemand mehr hören. Seit Kurzem testet man das neue Kürzel <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/CDR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CDR</span></a> für <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/CarbonDioxideRemoval" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CarbonDioxideRemoval</span></a> auf seine Akzeptanz. Und natürlich <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/DAC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DAC</span></a>, <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/DirectAirCapture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DirectAirCapture</span></a>. Das ist als würde man den Putzeimer ausschütten, um den Dreck ein zweites Mal aufzuwischen. Der größte Nutzen von DAC sind tolle Bilder von großen Maschinen, die vermeintlich Gutes tun.</p><p>Es bleiben allesamt leere Versprechen. Es soll einfach weiter gehen mit Öl und Gas wie bisher. Der Diskursraum wird gefüllt mit wolkigen Ideen. Wir sollen unsere Zeit damit verbringen, allerlei Kürzel lernen und währenddessen unterbleibt das Offensichtliche, real <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Emissionen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Emissionen</span></a> zu reduzieren. Jetzt. Warum sollten wir also einer weiteren <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Risikotechnologie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Risikotechnologie</span></a> zustimmen? Was ist unvermeidbar? Es gibt längst Konzepte für <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/M%C3%BCllvermeidung" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Müllvermeidung</span></a> und für <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Bauen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bauen</span></a> mit weniger <a href="https://climatejustice.global/tags/Beton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Beton</span></a>.
