Blake Patterson<p>Forty years ago today, the Commodore Amiga 1000 was released to the world. With its unprecedented graphics &amp; sound capabilities, powerful 16-bit CPU and custom chipset, and UNIX-like multitasking OS, the Amiga was a truly revolutionary system for its time. And, many are still in use to this day, with the platform seeing new software and hardware development from month to month. </p><p>I presently have three, myself. :-) </p><p>Happy 40th, Amiga!</p><p><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Amiga" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Amiga</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/CommodoreAmiga" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CommodoreAmiga</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/vintagtecomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintagtecomputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/retrocomputers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputers</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/computinghistory" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>computinghistory</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/computers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>computers</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/MC68K" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MC68K</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/AmigaDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AmigaDOS</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/AmigaOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AmigaOS</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/tech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tech</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/technews" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>technews</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/vintagetech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintagetech</span></a></p>

From the late 1980s to the late 1990s I was part of a three-person 16-bit game dev and "demoscene" team.

This is a four-channel track by our music composer Ramon Braumuller, called "Minimal".

The music module file size, including sampled sounds, is 50 KB.

Check the other posts in this thread and the #TeamHoi hashtag for more tunes and info.

Let's get started with an #introduction !

Hi, I am Florian, a #Xennial doing #MusicComposition since I had a #CircleOfFifths-epiphany at school. Around the same time, I started playing #guitar and #piano .

I got started with #MusicProduction on the #CommodoreAmiga with #OctaMED , moved to #Cubase and #Samplitude , did some experimenting with #Ardour on #LinuxAudio , and ended up in #AbletonLive . I used to run a small #RecordingStudio , but switched to a different day job.
