My #scrollBook is in the hot end phase: the #embroidery is done, now I have to mount it on the wooden spool. @embroidery @textilearts
Collage art with real dried flowers. An elderly lady dried lots of flowers from her garden to give away and I was the lucky person to receive them... Really love them :D
For the background I used a failed print from my totally unreliable printer, 'cause it was pretty and we can't possibly throw away something pretty, right?!
#Scrollbook photos from my animation work yesterday.
This was the most fascinating for the children: You can collect tiny scraps (paper or fabric) only because you like their colour or texture. And then you can value them, give them your own story with wild stitching.
I'm already thinking about children's workshops for our summer holiday program ...
And more photos of my Sunday #museum work on the #ScrollBook. People's reactions were interesting: from almost undisguised laughing by people unfamiliar with art to great conversations with interested people and enthusiastic children.
Here's the #ScrollBook in full length and some details. For the idea and materials look at post No 1.
For all who like to see my #scrollBook project in progress, I start a thread for new photos.
The idea: Having art small enough for a handbag or hanged on a wall. 'Writing' a #book that can't get copied by AI or people - but can be inspiring for others.
Materials: A vintage wooden bobbin, tea-dyed coton flannel, #teaBags, #sareeSilk scraps, #lace, #embroidery, glass rocailles.

My #scrollBook advances ... I love the effects of the variegated embroidery thread. I love the stories and thoughts stitched into the fabric. And working on it is a perfect thought cleanser. A textile #Artjournal ... @embroidery @textilearts @fibrearts @fiberarts
I almost bought some gorgeous and huge Ukrainian jewellery made from woven rocailles, which I don't have the opportunity to wear. So I went back to hoarding colours at our Festival of Wool and Yarn. Again, I couldn't resist the vintage bobbins. More in the AltText.
Are there more people who hoard colours against grey realities?
Yesterday I started a new project: a textile #scrollBook, something like an #artBook as a #scroll.
The photo shows my work to find a collage composition. When I'm satisfied with that sample, I'll fix the pieces with wild #embroidery. Later I'll "write" with #stitches. More info: alt text!
