Very few people experience depressed property values due to wind turbines. As the authors allude, there are plenty of other collocations capable of depressing property values. This juxtaposition is spotlighted in our attention for reasons quite apart from the good of homeowners.

Well-intended strategies such as afforestation and bioenergy cropping could have unforeseen impacts on biodiversity. The team, including scientists at Princeton University and The Nature Conservancy in addition to NYBG, modeled the impact of these mitigation strategies on over 14,000 invertebrate species. They argue that policy makers and conservation officials should consider impacts on biodiversity when evaluating the most effective tools to mitigate climate change.

I have been told by senior Indian businessmen/civil servants (1 of each, not a crowd!) that India sees talk about #ClimateMitigation as a ploy by "the West" to block India's achievements in growing the economy.
I am hoping that these record temperatures may be sufficient to add greater weight to the work of India's numerous #ClimateActivists and thus persuade people that India too is at risk.
#Lambeth on a #felling spree in #BrockwellPark, as i spotted around 20 marked trees in a single run. This reminds me to chase my FOI about #treeplanting monitoring & survival rate (UK average is 30% die in the first 12 months). It seems there’s zero #maturetrees policy in a city (#London) where most trees were planted in the 19th century. Anyone has a #climatemitigation #urbantrees policy/blueprint to share to encourage local authorities to do better?
