Carole Cadwalladr is an always-relevant observer of the relationships between tech, politics, and media. She was put under incredible pressure by those whose dark activities she exposed, and she stood her ground. A woman of impeccable moral and professional standing.
Cadwalladr is our Cassandra. We must listen to her.
When the trust owning The Guardian daily newspaper sold off The Observer (the Sunday paper), Cadwalladr was one of the many fine journalists who got axed. This is her last piece for the (old) Observer.
Like everything she writes, it is essential reading. Uncomfortable and important reading.

Dans cette vidéo, Carole Cadwalladr, journaliste au Gardian, lance l'alerte face à la broligarchie et au « coup d'État numérique » en cours.
Elle y évoque, en 17 minutes, et d'une façon particulièrement brillante, documentée et incarnée, la dangerosité des Big tech et précisément des patrons des GAFAM et de la collusion avec Trump.
Elle y évoque aussi les lourds dangers du capitalisme de surveillance et l'impérieuse nécessité qu'il y a à s'en défaire sans attendre et à le combattre, plutôt qu'à l'accompagner alors que s'installe maintenant un techno-féodalisme raciste à l'échelle planétaire.

Elle est un outil puissant pour prendre la mesure du « coup d'État numérique » en cours, comme elle le nomme avec justesse, et de la nécessité d'en prendre conscience.
