Dans l’Essonne, une formation gratuite pour les habitantes du quartier tente de déjouer le piège de la culpabilisation des parents des quartiers populaires. Intitulé «Dames des #cités», ce cursus vise aussi à insérer ces femmes par le travail #social.

Yesterday we saw these #Caretta #Seaturtle nests surrounded by conservationists. This species is protected by #CITES. The female turtles lay their eggs in concrete sandy beaches, where after 50-75 days of incubation, small #Turtles hatch and crawl across the sand to reach the water. The females lay several clutches, each containing between 23 and 178 eggs. We were surprised, as the eggs were located in the immediate vicinity of sunbeds & parasols.

Canada's polar bear population plummets - government report

Woke up to some good news from colleagues at #CITESCoP19 in Panama.
Despite continued & shameful opposition from #EU, which is a key destination for glass #frogs for exotic pet trade, a majority of Parties voted to list the whole genus on #CITES App II to give these weird & wonderful #amphibians greater protection from international #trade. #biodiversity #wildlifetrade #conservation #animals
