Today I'm willing to admit to a sickness. I love elections. One good thing about north America is that counting is at a really watchable time in Australia.
I rank UK and Australian elections as the most entertaining and usually Canadian and New Zealand elections as the most "dry" but really settling in for the Canadian result today!
First-past-the-post is mathematically the worst way to count votes and if I could only make one change to UK/US/CAN elections it would be to change that.
Voting in Canada today was a breeze.
There was no line for me, and it took less than 5 minutes!
If you can vote and haven't yet,
there is no reason not to go.

Across , through a rare adaptation to the Canada Elections Act, the counting of **Advance Ballots **may start two hours before polls close in each electoral district instead of the allowable start of one hour before.
Additional teams have been deployed to assist with the count.

For some candidates "they know what time is love" may be aspirational, I would say. Artistic license, eh.

Trump recently sent a message to Canada starting off with "Dear cherished 51st state," even though they're a sovereign nation, all the while trying to influence their election.
However their attempts have polarized Canadians to further distance themselves from the USA, boycott us more, and they are polling liberal.
