Mark Hughes<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@wiredprairie" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>wiredprairie</span></a></span> my use is for static sites for deployment on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AutonomiDweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AutonomiDweb</span></a> which I'm developing, so yes, purely client and I find <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Svelte" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Svelte</span></a> excellent.</p>
happyborg<p>The decentralised web is live on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Autonomi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Autonomi</span></a> accessible from Windows, MacOS and Linux! 🥳 </p><p>Download dweb at the link below (or `cargo install dweb-cli`) and then:</p><p> dweb serve</p><p>And in another terminal:</p><p> dweb open awesome</p><p>That opens a website with some of the first perpetual, versioned websites on the <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/p2p" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>p2p</span></a> network that is <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/AutonomiDweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AutonomiDweb</span></a> </p><p>It includes apps too, but you can view the websites without any more setup. Download v0.9.1 at <a href="https://github.com/happybeing/dweb/releases" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/happybeing/dweb/rel</span><span class="invisible">eases</span></a><br> <br>Anyone can publish with <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/dweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dweb</span></a></p>
happyborg<p>@jzakotnik@mastodon.socia </p><p>I don't see it as federation because it is p2p, but the principle of freedom through decentralisation certainly applies.</p><p>IPFS doedn't quite get to data permanence. So also look into <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Autonomi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Autonomi</span></a> / <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/AutonomiDweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AutonomiDweb</span></a> which do.<br>l <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://lemmy.ml/c/ipfs" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ipfs</span></a></span></p>
happyborg<p>Early days but it looks like <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/AutonomiDweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AutonomiDweb</span></a> (p2p web publishing and viewing in a standard browser, <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/p2p" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>p2p</span></a> web apps using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/dweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dweb</span></a>'s <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/REST" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>REST</span></a> API) ...</p><p>...works on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a>. </p><p>I never tested this, a big complex project developed on Linux and just today built for MacOS, Windows and Linux using CI.</p><p>It works! <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Rustlang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Rustlang</span></a> is awesome. Someone earlier built for Mac so that should be good too.</p><p>Just need to get the CI over to <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/WoodpeckerCI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WoodpeckerCI</span></a> on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Codeberg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Codeberg</span></a> for which I can't find examples yet and the docs are not easy</p>
happyborg<p>Spent the day researching how to get my dweb command to work without my users having to do 'dweb serve' before everything else works.</p><p>Another few days expected to get it all working as I envisage.</p><p>Well worth it to simplify the experience of every user.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/AutonomiDweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AutonomiDweb</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/UX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UX</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/dweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dweb</span></a></p>

Each update creates a new structure that is added to the list. </p><p>The file contains the address of the list and it's own path.</p>
