Si parla di circa 200 roghi, la metà di questi sembrano indomabili. Sono andati in fumo ben 2,4 milioni di ettari di boschi, che sono pari a circa 24 mila chilometri quadrati. Il 2023 fino ad oggi è stata l’annata peggiore di sempre, ma il 2025 rischia di batterla considerando che la stagione estiva è appena cominciata. Alpine ibex (capra ibex) and bearded vulture (gypaetus barbatus) immersed in the wonderful scenery of Gran Paradiso National Park, in the north-western Italian Alps.
While in the #Alps melting glaciers destroy whole villages, in #Canada the forest fire season comes weeks too early, to destroy needed carbon sinks + nature. But hey, let's delay climate action, and greenwash EU's 2040 target, cc @vonderleyen!
