Testing Pi-hole for home wide ad-blocking. Got it up and running on my Rasperry Pi zero 2W now.
Any opinions here about Pi-hole in general?

Tangentially related but lately #NextDNS and #Adblock on my browsers (desktop and mobile) were still having some ads go through.
I have since started using @Vivaldi and it's SO REFRESHING to have all ads and trackers turned off
Youtube started to show me a "Expecting interruptions??" popup to gaslight me into disabling my adblocker.
I wasn't even affected by whatever antiadblocking shenanigans they were trying to "warn me" about.
Adblocking is working just fine, try harder.
1. #AdBlock and #Tracking Blocking on Android is easy.
Use a Browser like #Ironfox with #UBlockOrigin in advanced mode, and block known tracking Javascript that way.
Solved, no #Metapixel, #GoogleAnalytics, #YandexMetrica, #CloudflareInsights and whatever else exists out there. It is blocked from loading or executing, so it can't listen on your localhost either.

Google Australia is increasing the price of youtube premium family plan to $40AUD a month. What a fucking joke. It was too expensive at the last increase ($32/month), but the wife begged me she didnt want to deal with adblockers.
This might be the end of it, no features or value in that increase.

À garder dans tes favoris si tu touches à la sécu ou si t'as juste envie de bloquer le mal avec classe 
je découvre que le délicieux service Rosti (oui, comme les patates mais en cyber 
) ne fait pas "juste" de l’extraction d’IOC (indicateurs de compromission) depuis les recherches / analyses pour les règles de détection.
Ils servent aussi des feeds bien frais avec flag IDS (détection d’intrusion) sur 180 jours, prêts à être branchés sur nos outils de sécu préférés pour bloquer direct les domaines de bad guys, et ça marche pour :
Adblock & co :
AdGuard, uBlock, Brave, Pi-hole, etc.DNS-level :
DNSMasq, TechnitiumDNS, Blocky, Diversion – ça coupe net côté DNS.Hosts :
AdAway, NetGuard, Gasmask – méthode old school mais efficace.Wildcard & RPZ :
OPNsense, PowerDNS, Unbound...

I will be looking for alternative addons, and I recommend you do the same, because none of you can feel safe anymore as ruzzian filters can easily censor and hide information from you, such as banners about the war in Ukraine or links to support funds or hide the truth about a candidate in the upcoming elections so that you don’t vote for another one.
