I was saying to someone online that the most disappointing thing about not being able to get away from #abuse #neglect #CoersiveControl is that people themselves won’t help you.

They think it’s someone else’s job or the government will fix it (there’s no funding, esp for severly disabled people). Some will help with money which is great but a place to stay isn’t offered in Australia. (Other countries have been generous though which is so strange, but Melbourne? Nope.)

Aren’t there tons of people out there alone in a big house with no money struggling but unable or unwilling to downsize? There’s articles about it. I can help you out! I just need a #room and can pay #board. Just a quiet environment and some minor help would good! Carer Pension and/or Allowance is also possible if things work out.

I don’t get why people won’t #rent a room out. They could be my way to escape.

This is enabling misogyny and abuse - the victim is expected to be silent, not even know how to complain, respond or leave. It’s difficult to imagine a more dangerous promotion to men and women anywhere in the world. It’s a version of the Tates, Peterson and the rest of these influencers and how they view women - silent, ornamental, to be used and discarded as they deem appropriate.
