My #panda3d animation-blending, ragdoll and ik-framework seems to still be working like a charm. I can get it to walk with an animation and have its arms follow a node I can control with #python AT THE SAME TIME WUT

The ragdoll still just explodes into something that looks like it badly wants to die because each joint still needs very careful tweaking. but the code works.

i would like to show my class an example of a 3d animated film that is artfully done and not a big blockbuster that everyone has already seen. ideally it would be expressively animated and from an independent studio. any recommendations? i've been showing shorts and ~30 min excerpts of feature length films.

So a couple of weeks ago (before I hopped on here but after the bird site started going... downhill) I created a Discord server to start sharing my 2D/3D art, #animations, WIPs, etc.

I'm currently trying to turn it into a community more than a personal art showcase, though my personal stuff has its own channels in there. I like being able to help people with their projects, point them in the right direction, or just talk about workflow and pipelines and new ways of doing things.
